The BC Lions Football Club announced today that they have agreed to terms with non-import running back, Andrew Harris.

"Andrew is a phenomenal athlete who put up some amazing numbers with the Vancouver Island Raiders in 2008," said Neil McEvoy, Lions player personnel coordinator. "He's an elite talent and another example of the gifted players the BCFC is currently producing."

Harris compiled a number of record-breaking performances on the way to leading his club to a Canadian Bowl championship in November. Following up a 370-yard, three TD performance in a semi-final win over the Saskatoon Hilltops, Harris exploded for 410-yards and four TD's in a 35-8 win over the Burlington Braves to claim junior football's national title. Harris will make his second appearance at Lions training camp slated for early June in Abbotsford.

The club also officially announced that defensive lineman, Tyrone Williams, has been released. Originally signing as a free agent in 2002, the veteran interior lineman spent seven seasons and 120 games in Black and Orange, notching 343 tackles and 27 sacks. Williams was a West Division and CFL All-Star in 2006 and 2007.
