A car worth several hundred thousand dollars needs some serious repairs after it spun out of control on a Surrey highway Sunday and crashed through a chain link fence.
Fire crews responded to the crash, which happened on Highway 99 near 32nd Avenue.
Police say the 26-year-old male driver was not injured in the crash.
A CTV viewer sent in dashcam video of the crash. The viewer said he was travelling about 110 kilometres an hour on Highway 99 when the Lamborghini overtook him from behind at a high rate of speed, followed by a Dodge Viper.
He said the car tried to overtake two other vehicles in front of him when it lost control in the right-hand lane, spinning off the highway.
Surrey RCMP haven’t confirmed many details about the incident, including whether the driver may have been speeding.
