Kate Gajdosik is a Weathercaster for CTV News.

Kate joined CTV News in March 2007 as an airborne reporter in Chopper 9. Her role within CTV quickly expanded to include morning local news anchor during Canada AM, and most recently, as a member of the weather broadcasting team on the weekends.

In 2006, Kate graduated with Honours from the Broadcast Journalism program at BCIT, but she got her start in television behind the scenes as a technician at a small television station in Denver, Colorado. Her career moved her in front of the camera after she left Denver for Vancouver in 1994.

Originally from Winnipeg, Kate has spent the last 16 years living in Vancouver working in film and television and has been seen and heard on several Lower Mainland television broadcast and radio station including Global TV, AM 730 and CKNW where she reported traffic for the morning and afternoon commutes; and former CTVglobemedia station Talk 1410 AM where she co-hosted the afternoon drive show.

Kate has appeared as a news anchor and reporter in several feature films including The Big Year, Tron: Legacy, The Doomsdale Scrools, Call Me Mrs. Miracle, Never Tell A Lie, and the television series Psych.

In her spare time, she enjoys running, travel, movies, and photography, and her guilty pleasures include exquisite cuisine and delectable wine – especially from B.C.
