The fate of a man charged with first degree murder for a 2008 shooting in Surrey, B.C., is now in the hands of a jury.
Raminder Singh Bhandher is accused of killing 24-year-old Tejvir Singh Bains, also known as Sunny Bains, in his condo on January 28, 2008.
Jury deliberations in Bhandher's trial began Friday night at B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver and continued Saturday.
Witnesses have said they heard as many as six shots fired at the townhome where Bains lived with his girlfriend and their young child. Bhandher was charged with killing Bains one month later.
Bhandher has admitted that he gunned down Bains, but says he did so in self-defence.
