Mounties in Prince George, B.C., say they've arrested two known gang associates after raiding a crack house Wednesday night.

Four people were taken into custody after members of the Prince George RCMP Downtown Enforcement Unit found drugs and weapons while executing a search warrant at the home.

Police say they seized a loaded sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, crack cocaine, heroin, a large sum of cash and a variety of drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Two men known to be involved with the Game Tight Soldiers (GTS) gang were arrested as well as two adult women. Drug and weapon charges are anticipated.

Police say gang crime is sweeping the city of Prince George, with rival gangs competing to rule the lucrative trade.

Earlier this month, a prominent criminologist called northern B.C. "Colombia North" because of the growth of organized crime in the Cariboo region.

Prince George was rated the most dangerous city in Canada by Maclean's magazine.

Members of the Uniformed Gang Task Force have visited the city several times in recent months to advise local Mounties on tactics.
