The family of slain teenager Taylor Van Diest will hold a memorial service for the 18-year-old at an Armstrong, B.C. arena later today.
Van Diest died shortly after being attacked on Halloween night while walking along a popular short cut through that North Okanagan town.
RCMP have not made any arrests in connection with the death and have not identified a suspect. Investigators are following up on more than 125 leads, but warned Monday that the investigation could be lengthy.
Meanwhile, three other Armstrong youths, as well as Van Diest, were remembered at a public memorial yesterday afternoon at an Armstrong park.
Mourners lit candles for young siblings Ava Mae and Austin Claassen -- who died in a motorhome fire last month, and also for Cullen Rowan, a classmate of Van Diest's, who was killed in a workplace accident in September.
