Crown prosecutors have approved 12 charges against six more people who allegedly participated in last year's Stanley Cup riot.
The charges bring the total number approved to 238 counts against 91 suspected rioters. To date, the Integrated Riot Investigation Team has recommended 592 criminal charges against 200 suspects.
The latest batch of accused rioters includes:
- Sage Laboucan, 22, of Vancouver, charged with participating in a riot
- Robert Olson, 33, of Vancouver, charged with participating in a riot and break and enter
- Dakota Schlag, 20, of Vancouver, charged with participating in a riot and mischief
- Brandon Foster, 19, of Surrey, charged with participating in a riot, break and enter and possession of stolen property
- Jeffery Xiao, 20, of Richmond, charged with participating in a riot and break and enter
- Julian Eiers, 19, of North Vancouver, charged with participating in a riot and break and enter
"The dedicated efforts of both the Crown and Integrated Riot Investigation Team combined with our vault of video is resulting in more and more charges every day," Insp. Les Yeo said in a statement.
Another round of charges is expected in the coming weeks.
