Police say a Salmon Arm, B.C. man charged in connection to last year's Stanley Cup riot is also wanted in Alberta for charges related to an incident following another hockey game.

Andrew Comber was arrested at his home in the B.C. interior Saturday after a warrant was issued for his alleged role in the Vancouver riot, Sgt. Howard Chow of the Integrated Riot Investigation Team said in a news release. The Crown has approved charges of participating in a riot, mischief and arson against him.

"This 38-year-old man completely painted himself green and was alleged to have taken a stuffed bear, lighting it on fire and throwing it on top of an overturned truck," Chow said.

Investigators say Comber was "very active and noticeable" during the evening and taunted police.

Chow also says the man will be flown to Alberta to face numerous charges dating back to 2004 when he was arrested for allegedly causing a disruption after a Calgary Flames hockey game. These charges include assaulting a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest.
