Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a fire that broke out at a mobile home in Surrey late Saturday night.
The blaze broke out at a trailer park in the 8200-block of King George Boulevard just before 9 p.m.
Fire crews were able to douse the flames, but not before they damaged two nearby homes.
Witnesses walking by when the fire broke out tell CTV News they saw a flame on the trailer’s front porch.
“I went and ran to get some water, and by the time I got back to it, the flames were about eight feet, ten feet high,” said neighbour Brad Parsons. “It was kind of a scary situation.”
The owner of the trailer wasn’t home at the time, but arrived about 10 minutes after the fire started, Parsons said.
Nobody was injured.
Officials are working to determine a cause of the fire and won’t say if they consider it suspicious.
