A man has died after his car collided with a moose on a northern B.C. highway.
The 38-year-old Vanderhoof man hit the large animal just before midnight Saturday on Highway 16 West, near Prince George.
He was rushed to hospital with severe head and chest wounds, but succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
Police say the man was alone in his westbound vehicle and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
Police are withholding the man's name until family is notified.
