A cute YouTube video of a cat sniffing and cuddling up to a newborn fawn quickly turns frightening when a protective mother deer begins trampling a dog nearby in a Cranbrook, B.C., neighbourhood.
Racking up nearly one and a half million views in three weeks, the video serves as a shocking reminder to stay away from wild baby animals.
A dog apparently got a little too close to the deer's fawn and she attacked it. A horrified neighbour can be heard in the background screaming and yelling for the deer to stop.
The dog left the incident limping, but is reportedly doing okay.
The doe didn't seem to be quite as concerned about the cat, but still made a move toward it as a warning.
