Langley RCMP are struggling to uncover the motivation behind a pair of early-morning stabbings Sunday -- because both victims refuse to co-operate with their investigation.

At around 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning, officers arrived at the 7-11 at Fraser Highway and 272nd Street, where they found one man suffering non-life threatening stab wounds.

Ten minutes later a second man, also suffering from stab wounds, was picked up three blocks from the scene.

Pools of blood were found near the door of the 24-hour convenience store, but without the help of the victims police have so far been unable to determine exactly what transpired there.

"Because they aren't cooperating, we're trying to piece things together with only half the puzzle pieces," Corp. Holly Marks said Sunday.

The victims, both 24-years-old and both known to police, were taken by ambulance to local hospitals.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
