The man accused of kidnapping a three-year-old boy from his home in southeast B.C. last fall has pleaded guilty in a separate case to breach of probation.

Randall Hopley admitted violating the conditions of his probation order from a break and enter allegation in Alberta.

The Crown dropped a second breach charges and Hopley was given an extra 30 days in jail.

The 46-year-old man is also accused of kidnapping Kienan Hebert from his bed in Sparwood last September and then returning him, apparently unharmed, four days later.

Hopley was found by police dogs at a gravel pit near Crowsnest Lake, Alta., a few days after the boy was returned.

He will be back in court to face charges of breaking and entering, abduction and kidnapping on Feb. 20.
