A man found lying in the middle of a road in a rural area of Abbotsford Tuesday afternoon was likely the victim of a drug-related shooting, Abbotsford police said.
Several residents reported hearing shots and called 911, and police arrived to find the 46-year-old man lying on McConnell Road.
The man, who is known to police, was air-lifted to hospital where he is still in serious condition.
Abbotsford police say there is some indication the shooting is drug-related, and the victim was likely targeted.
