Two teens were injured after a tractor was hit by a train in Chilliwack.
Police said the train was hauling grain trailers crossing the tracks along South Sumas Road when it hit the tractor at around 11:45 a.m. on Sunday.
According to RCMP, the tractor's driver, a 15-year-old boy, was airlifted to BC Children's Hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition.
RCMP said another teen riding in a trailer behind the tractor jumped out before it was struck by the train. He was taken to a Chilliwack hospital with minor injuries.
Three people aboard the train escaped unharmed. The crash occurred at an uncontrolled crossing where there are no train arms or barriers although there is a stop sign for drivers.
RCMP investigators remained on the scene Sunday night.
