The Vancouver Police Department has released its annual calendar featuring members of the VPD canine unit.

The calendar is produced by the Candy Anfield Memorial Foundation, which was created by retired VPD Sgt. Mike Anfield in honour of his late wife Candy.

Candy was a VPD officer who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2004.

All of the proceeds from the sale of the $15 calendars go to the BC Cancer Foundation and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The 2016 calendar raised $30,000, bringing the all-time fundraising total to $160,000.

The dogs featured in the calendar as well as their handlers will be meeting the public and selling calendars at a sidewalk sale in the coming weeks.

The calendars can be purchased online or at the following locations around Vancouver:

• VPD Public Information Counters at 3585 Graveley Street and 2120 Cambie Street

• Vancouver Community Policing Centres

• Vancouver Police Museum

• BC Cancer Foundation

• BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

• Vancouver Tisol Pet Nutrition and Supply Stores
