A University of British Columbia student is facing fraud charges after allegedly buying and selling U-Passes.

Transit Police say 25-year-old Betty Sze Yu Wong, from Vancouver, had bought a number of U-Passes for cheap from students going to four different post-secondary schools. She then resold the passes for a profit on Craisglist.

U-Passes are built into tuition fees, and cost $30 a month for a three-zone pass. Market value is $151.

Wong, who now faces two counts of fraud, will appear in court in December. Transit Police say they are looking into to whom those passes were sold, and more charges could be laid.
