Pokémon Go players will be able to get free admission to the opening day of the Fair at the PNE.
Attendees can enter from any of the fair’s gates and need to show the Pokémon Go app on their smartphone. The deal is available from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 20.
A post on the PNE/Playland Facebook page says that Pokémon lures are also going to be dropped all day at the more than 30 Pokestops located throughout the fair. The PNE also says that there will be free WiFi available. The Pokémon deal only applies to the price of admission, and fair attendees will still need to pay to go on the rides.
The Fair at the PNE is on from Aug. 20 to Sept. 5. Regular admission is $17 at the gate and the fair gate and ride combo pass is $49.75 online or at select retailers. The gate pass is free for children 13 years old and younger.
