Merritt resident Janice Nielson has been charged with second-degree murder after her husband was stabbed to death on Friday night.
The 39-year-old has been remanded in custody and will appear in Kamloops court on Tuesday.
Her 56-year-old husband Tracey Charters, also known as Two Feathers, was found in the couple's home at around 10:30 p.m. Friday suffering from critical stab wounds.
He was rushed to the Nicola Valley Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the couple were drinking at a local pub earlier in the day, got into an argument and took separate taxis home.
Mounties are continuing to investigate Charters' death, and an autopsy is still pending.
