Little Mountain 10, West Vancouver 1

Little Mountain came out swinging on Tuesday afternoon, defeating West Vancouver 10-1 in B.C. Little League Championship play at Justin Morneau Field in New Westminster.

West Vancouver couldn't seem to get their bats working against Little Mountain's pitchers, collecting only four hits during the contest.

Little Mountain didn't suffer from the same problem and gave their bats a workout, notching 16 hits.

West Vancouver had three game errors and Little Mountain recorded two errors.

Little Mountain is now 3-0 in tournament action while West Vancouver falls to 1-3.

Whalley 13, Hastings 4

Whalley ran their batters home against Hastings on a hot Tuesday afternoon, winning 13-4.

The win snaps Hastings' unbeaten streak in the tournament and improves Whalley's record to 3-1.

Hastings' record is also 3-1 in B.C. Little League Championship play.

Hastings held the lead in the game until the bottom of the fourth inning, when Whalley put their hot hitters on base and scored 10 unanswered runs to steal the game.

Whalley had 14 hits and two errors while Hastings had 10 hits and one error in the game.

New Westminster 9, Layritz 5

New Westminster defeated Layritz 9-5 on Tuesday evening at Justin Morneau Field.

The win gives the hosts their first win of the tournament, improving their record to 1-2.

Layritz now has two losses and one win in B.C. Little League Championship action.

New Westminster had 11 hits and one error, while Layritz hit eight of the host team's pitches and ended the game with four errors.

Both teams are in action again Wednesday with New Westminster hitting the field aganist Trail and Layritz taking on West Vancouver.

After four days of tournament play, Little Mountain sits on top of the standings with three wins and no losses, followed by Whalley and Hastings who both sport a 3-1 record.
