As the Victoria Police Board met on Tuesday night, it was widely speculated that the members are moving closer to naming Jamie Graham as the city's new police chief.

Graham would succeed Paul Battershill, who recently quit before being found guilty of discreditable conduct, for allegedly having an elicit affair with a police board lawyer.

Last month, a Vancouver-based legal advocacy organization issued a release saying an independent police review had found Graham -- a former Vancouver police chief -- guilty of discreditable conduct.
