American border officials said $3 million in cocaine and ecstasy were found near the Sumas border crossing Wednesday.

Border agents found two sets of footprints and traces of an object being dragged south across the Canada-U.S. border.

The prints lead them to a large hockey bag hidden in some farm equipment in a nearby residential area.

Inside the bag the agents found 13 bricks of cocaine and ten bags of ecstasy with a street value of approximately $3 million.

Border agents also traced footprints of two individuals returning back in to Canada between the Lyndon and Sumas border crossings, Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Michael Bermudez told ctvbc.ca.
