Police say tips are drying up in the search for a B.C. couple missing in the U.S. and a special tip line is being shut down.

However, the RCMP say they and American police will continue their investigation to the disappearance of Albert and Rita Chretien of Penticton.

They were last seen at a gas station in Baker City, Ore. on March 19 on a driving trip to Las Vegas.

An extensive air and ground search in Oregon has failed to find any sign of the couple or their van.

RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says investigators have followed up all tips they've gotten, but there's been no new information to help police find the couple and the special telephone tip line has been taken down.

He says people with information can call regular police phone lines or CrimeStoppers and police will follow up any new information that might come in.
