A Surrey teenager has been charged with selling brass knuckles at SkyTrain stops.
The 17-year-old was busted trying to sell the weapons during an undercover operation, according to Transit Police spokeswoman Anne Drennan.
She said the Transit Police’s Crime Reduction Unit received a Crime Stoppers tip that the youth was advertising the knuckles on Craigslist.
Police confiscated three sets from the male and a fourth was found at his residence.
The teen has been charged with possession and trafficking of a prohibited weapon and Drennan said he is well-known to police.
He’s been released on an undertaking and is set to make his next court appearance July 31.
Possessing or selling brass knuckles is prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada.
