BLAINE, Minn. - Devin Del Do scored in the second half Saturday as the NSC Minnesota Stars beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 in USSF Division-2 play.

The Italian striker scored in the 49th minute after Vancouver goalkeeper Jay Nolly pushed a Simone Bracalello shot onto the crossbar.

The ball fell kindly to Del Do, who slotted home into an empty net for the Stars (10-12-7).

Also on Saturday, the Carolina RailHawks beat Crystal Palace Baltimore 4-2 to pull within three points of NASL Conference-leading Vancouver (10-4-14) with two games left for both teams.

The defeat ended Vancouver's hopes of claiming the top playoff seed in USSF Division-2 and halted their undefeated run on the road at 11 matches.
