Police in Campbell River, B.C., are investigating the Vancouver Island community's third homicide of the year, after a man was stabbed to death Wednesday night.
The 46-year-old victim was discovered outside in the 300-block of Birch Street just after 10 p.m. He was taken to hospital, but died soon after.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken into custody. Police say that the two Campbell River residents were known to each other.
Police have not yet recommended charges, and the Campbell River RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating.
