An 80-year-old man is dead after he was allegedly pushed to the ground Friday morning in East Vancouver.
Police say the victim, Vancouver resident Yee Wong, was shoved during an altercation near McGill and Windermere streets shortly after 7 a.m. and suffered an injury to his head.
He was conscious and speaking when paramedics arrived at the scene, but his condition rapidly deteriorated and he was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after.
A 45-year-old suspect was arrested but no charges have been laid.
