The search for a missing British tourist has been suspended after another attempt to find 22-year-old Tom Billings turned up nothing Saturday.
Vancouver police had requested crews resume the search after receiving a tip of a possible sighting in Lynn Headwaters Nov. 25, the same day Billings was last seen.
“All of the tips provided to police about Mr. Billings have been followed up and all investigated leads exhausted,” Const. Brian Montague said in a release. “Any focused mountain searches will be discontinued unless police receive additional and credible information.”
Montague said North Shore Search and Rescue will continue to keep their eyes open for clues in Billings’ disappearance.
The avid hiker was supposed to return to the U.K. after wrapping up his North America vacation tour on Dec. 7 in New York, but he never made it.
