Premier Gordon Campbell wraps up meetings with Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire this afternoon by watching an Amtrak train pull out of Seattle's King Street station.
The departure marks the official launch of a second daily passenger train between Oregon and Vancouver -- although the Amtrak Cascades actually began service in August.
Several other issues, including 2010 Olympic plans, were on the agenda as Campbell and his Washington State counterpart met yesterday to begin a two-day joint cabinet meeting.
