Nine people have been arrested after the Mounties busted a drug ring operating in Terrace and Kelowna, with links to Vancouver.

The RCMP say they staged raids on 12 homes and businesses, including a Kelowna night club, and seized drugs, cash, firearms and several vehicles, after earlier seizing a cache of cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana.

Four people were arrested in Kelowna, three in Terrace and two in Prince Rupert, including a 19-year-old Terrace man who police consider the ringleader of the drug operation.

In addition to the other people arrested, police are recommending charges against four more people from Terrace, Kelowna, and Vancouver
