CALGARY - A one-year-old girl is in critical condition in Calgary Children's Hospital after she nearly drowned during a rafting accident in British Columbia.
RCMP say emergency crews were dispatched to the Dutch Creek River near Fairmont, B.C., on Wednesday afternoon.
Mounties say the child was separated from her parents while tubing on the waterway, and was in the water for nearly an hour before she was located.
She was taken to hospital in Invermere, B.C., and then flown by air ambulance to the Calgary hospital.
