Vancouver's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is canvassing a neighbourhood in New Westminster searching for clues related to a homicide on Saturday night.
The stabbing death happened in the 500 block of Third Avenue at about 10 p.m.
The victim died in hospital around 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
Police said a 5-feet-5 inches tall Asian man was seen running from the scene.
“Investigators are attempting to conduct a neighbourhood canvass to obtain any information that may assist in locating the suspect and help determine a motive for this stabbing,” said Sgt. Jennifer Pound in a press release.
Anyone with information is asked to call New Westminster police.
