BBQ season is back! Once you have your grill ready to go you might want to look at your accessories. Here's a checklist for a safe and tasty BBQ experience.
First you'll need at least two pairs of long tongs: one pair to handle raw food, a second pair to remove grilled food. You might even want a third pair for rearranging charcoal if necessary.
You'll also need a long-handled grill brush with stainless steel bristles to keep things clean.
A good meat thermometer will help you quickly gauge the internal temperature of meat -- no more overcooked steaks.
For larger cuts of meat -- a rotisserie attachment can be a good investment. Maybe that could be a Father's Day gift.
A good basting brush would also be important. If you're replacing one that's seen better days --look for some of the new stainless steel brushes with silicone bristles. They go right in the dish washer when you're done.
And finally -- metal skewers or a kabob set can save you time over bamboo skewers which you have to soak in water for 30 minutes before you grill.
