New leads in search for missing couple

Alberta Mounties are searching a private property west of Edmonton and say it involves the investigation into the disappearance of two missing seniors.

Lyle and Marie McCann, both in their 70s, were last seen July 3 when they left St. Albert, just north of Edmonton, to visit family in British Columbia's Fraser Valley.

Their burning recreational vehicle was found two days later near Edson, Alta., 200 kilometres west of Edmonton.

RCMP have been at a location in the area near Nojack, east of Edson, for much of Friday.

The news of the search comes on the heels of news that the reward for information leading to an arrest in the case is now at $60,000.

Police consider Travis Vader, 38, a suspect, but no charges have been laid.
