Boy, 8, seriously injured after being struck by car on Nanaimo school grounds
An 8-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a car in a school parking lot in Nanaimo, B.C.
The incident took place at the Discovery Montessori school on Jingle Pot Road shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, Nanaimo RCMP said in a release.
The boy sustained serious injuries and is being treated at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, it said.
The driver, who remained at the site of the collision, is co-operating with investigators.
