RCMP have identified the elderly woman found dead Saturday on a trail near the Coquitlam River.
Const. Kristina Biro says 75-year-old Donna Rasmussen had been missing since Tuesday.
Rasmussen's daughter reported her disappearance after the woman did not return from her daily walk.
Police say they don't have any reason to suspect the death is suspicious and there are no indications of foul play.
Biro says police are continuing to assist the family with their tragic loss.
Coquitlam RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating.
