One man has died after a shooting in downtown Vancouver Thursday night.
Witnesses reporting hearing shots fired near the intersection of Hornby and Helmcken streets around 8:30 p.m.
The victim, a young East Indian man, reportedly ran into a nearby Subway restaurant, where he collapsed. He was taken from the scene by ambulance with life-threatening injuries, and was later pronounced dead.
Witnesses say they saw between one and three people flee the scene on foot.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
