The BC Lions signed running back Toddrick Pendland, defensive lineman Richard Jones and linebacker Nic Edgson, Monday.

The club also announced Okanagan Sun's kicker Steve Shott will own kicking duties during the Lions rookie camp which begins Wednesday, June 2 in Kamloops.

Pendland comes into the Lions organization after finishing a phenomenal career with the McNeese State University Cowboys, in Louisiana, 2009.

He accumulated 3,123 yards and 37 touchdowns on 511 carries with the Cowboys.

Pendland's 2009 performance earned him a First-Team All Southland Conference selection.

In 2008, he was named SLC Offensive Player of the Year, leading the conference with 1,431 rushing yards and an impressive 171.4 yards of total offensive per game.

Edgson was selected 47th overall in the 2007 CFL Draft by the Lions. He is attending his first Lions rookie camp after finishing his university career with the Idaho State Bengals.

He racked-up 14 tackles and a fumble recovery over 10 games with the Bengals in 2009.

Jones is coming to the Lions after finishing a four-year, 49-game career with Texas Tech. He leaves the Red Raiders holding a record of 57 tackles and three sacks.

Shott joins the Lions den after graduating Carson-Graham high school in North Vancouver. He handled the Okanagan Suns kicking duties last season and was good on 27 of 44 kicking attempts.

The full Lions squad will hit the field at Hillside Stadium on Sunday, June 6.
