BURNABY, B.C. - A public inquest will be held into the September 2008 killing of a couple in Mission, B.C., which RCMP have called a targeted hit.
The B.C. Coroners Service will hear evidence from subpoenaed witnesses to get facts about the deaths of 37-year-old Lisa Dudley and 33-year-old Guthrie McKay.
When the pair was found by officers in a home, McKay was dead and Dudley was suffering from a gunshot wound.
She died on her way to hospital, but investigators wouldn't reveal how McKay was killed.
During the inquest, to be held in Burnaby, a jury will make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future.
A start date for the inquest hasn't been announced.
