Four men have been arrested after two home invasions, one in Vancouver and another that ended up with the shooting of a young man in Burnaby.

One of the men was arrested after he fell during the police operation on Graveley Street in Vancouver before 2 a.m. Sunday.

Two others were arrested immediately afterwards, and a third hid for several hours before being apprehended, said Vancouver Police Inspector Eric Grummisch.

"There is nobody outstanding," Grummisch told CTV News.

Before 2 a.m. Vancouver Police got calls from residents on Graveley St. who said there was a man clambering over the roof in the area.

"Our units got there very quickly," said Vancouver Insp. John McKay. "They were known to police, wearing body armour."

A handgun was also involved, said McKay.

They arrested three of the suspects right away, and searched the area for a fourth before arresting him several hours later.

"The three are well-known to police and have been involved with things like this before," said McKay.

He said some 60 officers were called the area, with much of Graveley cordoned off on Sunday morning.

Burnaby RCMP responded to calls of shots fired at the 4500-block of Parker Street at about 1 a.m., to find two people injured, one of them a 23-year-old man seriously injured from a gunshot wound.

The RCMP said they were looking for three to four men clad in balaclavas who left the house.

The Vancouver Police say the two home invasions are not linked.
