Two B.C. politicians may have to wait another two weeks before they know with any certainty if they won their seats in Tuesday's provincial election -- and it may take even longer if judicial recounts are needed.

Preliminary results show B.C. Attorney General Wally Oppal won the Delta South riding by just three votes and New Democrat Charlie Wyse won Cariboo-Chilcotin by 23 votes.

Both those tallies are an increase of one vote over election night returns.

Elections BC spokesman Kenn Faris says the final counts, which include absentee votes and other special votes, will be ready by May 27th.

Those results could then be subject to judicial recounts -- and those recounts could be appealed to the B.C. Appeal Court.

Preliminary election results put the standings at 49 Liberals and 36 New Democrats.
