BC NDP Leader Adrian Dix says the provincial government's decision to formally oppose the Northern Gateway pipeline project is too little, too late.
The province announced yesterday that it opposes the proposed pipeline between Alberta and the B.C. coast, saying the current plan does not adequately address its environmental concerns.
But Dix notes the government is still leaving the door open to changing its mind in the future.
Dix suggests it also may be too late for B.C. to even stop the project if it wanted to, since the decision-making power now rests with a federal review panel
