If you had a view of the Lions Gate Bridge bright and early Friday morning, you might have seen the beginning of a new season along with the sunrise.
The first cruise ship of the season sailed under the Lions Gate Bridge into Vancouver, Friday.
The Norwegian operated "Balmoral" is the first of 35 ships that will visit Vancouver this season.
Although the number of ships is down this year, the total of 253 calls is forecast to bring some 875,000 passengers through the ports.
That marks an increase of 20,000 from last year.
