Conservation officers in West Kelowna, B.C. have killed a cougar after a report that it attacked a small dog.
Officials say the big cat grabbed a dog at Kalamoir Park in the Lakeview Heights area Tuesday morning. The pup's owner managed to save his pet from any serious harm, but received a few scratches in the attack.
The cougar returned to the area after the encounter and was shot by conservation officers.
