Vancouver police are asking the public for help after the brazen robbery of an exclusive jewelry store in the city's downtown core.

Two men entered Cartier Jewellers (at 456 Howe Street) on Tuesday afternoon brandishing a weapon and fleeing with a large quantity of merchandise.

The Waterfront SkyTrain station was shut down shortly after the robbery while police searched for the suspects.

One man is described as Caucasian, in his early 40s, six-foot-tall with an average build.

The second is also white and in his early 40s and was wearing a black dress coat with a collar and a dark dress shirt underneath.

Anyone with information is asked to call Vancouver Police or Crime Stoppers.
