On hot days like these you might be heading to the beach or pool. Be careful if you're taking along an inflatable float for your baby. In Canada, 345,000 baby floats made by Aqua Leisure Industries are being recalled, four million in the United States.

The leg straps in the seat of the float can tear, causing children to unexpectedly fall into the water. The floats come in a variety of styles and colours. They were sold between 2003 and 2009 at a number of large retailers including Wal-Mart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire, Zellers, and Toys "R" Us.

A date stamp between "08/02" and "07/08" is molded on the valves of recalled products. Products not included in the recall can be identified with the lettering "NP" molded on the valve.

No injuries have been reported but the company is voluntarily recalling these floats across Canada and the U.S. because of the tearing risk.

If you've got one of these baby floats, stop using it and contact Aqua-Leisure for a full refund.
