Premier Christie Clark says she won't bow to demands to overhaul tax incentives for the film and television industry.
Clark says the province already hands nearly $300 million dollars to the industry in the form of various incentives each year.
About four thousand members of the B.C. film industry rallied last night to demand more government help to keep B.C.'s movie industry competitive with those in other provinces.
NDP leader Adrian Dix is in Los Angeles today and tomorrow, holding talks with film and television heavyweights about how to maintain B.C.'s reputation as "Hollywood North" and protect the industry's roughly 85,000 jobs.
