Contrary to her popular hit, Carly Rae Jepsen is not having a “Good Time” when it comes to sex scandals. Days after a fake sex tape of the star surfaced, Vancouver police confirm they are investigating an alleged cyber hacking incident related to online images of the “Call Me Maybe” singer.
Const. Lindsey Houghton told reporters Wednesday police have identified a male suspect after being contacted by representatives of the singer in March with a complaint.
“We are investigating the unauthorized use of a computer, theft of telecommunications, and criminal harassment related to Ms. Jepsen,” Houghton said.
Houghton said the suspect is not a resident of Vancouver and had not yet been arrested or charged in the case.
Police are continuing to investigate the cyber hacking incident and have not said what the content of the online images is.
This comes days after Jepsen denied reports that a sex tape had surfaced online. On Monday she tweeted “Crazy morning. Discovered that someone put up a sex tape claiming to be me. Ridiculous. Obviously not me.”
