The Vancouver Canucks will be without one of their top forwards for at least a month.

Daniel Sedin, the team's leading scorer last season with 31 goals, will miss four to six weeks due to a broken left foot, the NHL team said Sunday.

Sedin suffered the injury when he was hit by a puck during Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

The 29-year-old Swede has four assists in four games this season.

Sedin had 82 points (31-51) in 82 games last season.
