After nearly three weeks of searching and re-tracing steps, a Burnaby family is no closer to finding out what happened to their missing mom.

The last time anyone heard from Myung-Ja Cha, 63, was on a cellphone call after she walked away from the Lougheed Town Centre Skytrain station.

Cha, who is a resident of Coquitlam and has three adult children, hasn't been seen since.

"If someone can think of anyone to help us, it's hard to believe that no one's seen her," said Cha's daughter Heidi, who is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that will bring their mom back home.

"We just need the public's help to find her," she said.

Her family says Cha was in a serious car accident the day before she disappeared, on January 22. She was also going through a divorce.

But she has never gone missing before and although her son is worried the accident might have affected her cognitive skills, he doesn't believe his mom would take her own life.

A mysterious package arrived at the Cha household on Friday, said Dennis Cha.

"We believe it's a sign that she's still alive," he said. "Someone may be helping her. I'm not sure why but we believe she's still alive."

That hope is keeping family members going as they handed out flyers at the Lougheed Skytrain station with Cha's Picture.

In the meantime, they're hoping that if their mom sees articles like this one, she'll know she's missed and she'll come home.

"Please let us know you're okay," said Heidi. "Please come home, we love you, please contact us... we love you."
